My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.

Gorgeous sand spot Tara so peaceful and I so love the graduating light on it.

WOW! What a stunner! I had an evil drawing tutor who would have LOVED to give us this to do in pencil.. that memory sent a shudder down my wrist...ugh!
jophoto
Simple and effective! Love the range of tones.

Hmmm.... the upper edge of a nice sand dune. A very small one, considering the size of the grains. The grainyness really adds a lot to this. Old photo of a huge sand dune? Or...? Good going! Was Bill able to guess or figure it out? :-)

A very interesting shot that I like a lot.

Poke your finger in it and watch the poke go away! Magic by Mother Nature.

We saw and climbed a lot of dunes in May:) The wind is always a talented sculptor. Really like the resolution you were able to capture as well as the soft texture and tones.

Elegant and so classic! Beautiful!

Hmmmmm.... Must be ISO 800 sand. I've found ISO 100 sand to be much less grainy, but it's harder to clean out of your camera bag! :-D A simple and simply wonderful capture, Tara!

The texture and colours look great in this little capture.

"grainy" makes it look better to stare as to watch the colors change as once in awhile warm hugs, Linda Kaye

Very sensual. The mix of grain, light and dark makes it look anatomical. Outstanding image.

Okay...I'm a geek. The first words that popped into mind were: "Arrakis, Dune, desert planet..." an odd little refrain from...well...that novel that tends to spawn not-so-successful cinematic or tv-miniseries interpretations. This is a lot, better, however, and yeah, deliciously grainy! I love it!
