Description

As we left Yosemite the other day, there was one last foto op of Half Dome and the valley. Everyone kept talking about the rainbow, but I couldn't see it--till I uploaded the foto. And there it was--very faint and soft, but a rainbow for sure!! Thanks to Tara for the PhotoShop lesson--you rock, my friend!! (And I remembered how!!)

I've only caught ONE rainbow with a camera in my life, and it's not surprising that it was in Prague, over a dingy part of Biskucova street (where I lived in a dinky little "Communist Standard" apartment, complete with a radio manufactured by the Tesla company; it had the old SSR standard radio frequency identification letters on the dial rather than numbers, and I kept trying to get the USSR stations, but none came through...but then, there is no USSR so it kinda makes sense that no one was using those frequencies.) Now, I have no idea how any of this has to do with your photo, but sometimes free association just takes root in my brain and I just go meandering off in all sorts of odd directions, like that one day...oh, never mind. So, where was I? Oh yeah, this photo. Dang, girl; you really nailed this shot, perfectly. I like it immensely. It's nicely swanky and a bit moody/mysterious, but not in a dark way. I like this quite a lot! The misty/foggy background is just amazingly captured. This is great!
