Description
Captured 6/27/11, early in the morning, within walking distance of my distinctive domicile.
Worth a ZOOM.
No collage of fancy filter variations this time, just the original, enhanced with a bit of sharp contrast, for all padlock mavens (e.g., Andrea) to find extremely interesting and satisfying. And I cannot recall what this lock was protecting. Other than that, the blue paint job on the metal does show a lot of character.
Allaismalardik, thankx for stopping by, and for any and all favs and complimentary comments.

Fantastic textures and details. Great find and shot. The ravages of time have gnawed at this padlock.

Good eye and a good addition to the great padlock collection. I always wonder how many of these old, rusty padlocks still have keys. Or an owner interested enough to access whatever is locked up. There was a magnificent large, old estate gate in the town where I grew up...chained and padlocked since the owner died in 1939. Nothing was left of the estate but a couple of hundred acres of dense woods...no house, no garage/carriage house, no fountains, no magnificent lawns and gardens, nothing but iron gates chained and padlocked.

Great compo, Harry; excellent shot. As far as wondering if people still have keys, I have keys for locks I can't remember or find!

It still looks functional Harry and I'll bet a little WD-40 should straighten out and problems. Dana
