My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I like this. Of course the title also made me think of one foot on the platform and one on the train...which, of course, sent me into the wilds of YouTube, and now I'm listening to The Animals while looking at this photo. I love the dreamy quality of this shot, but based on past movie/television-viewing experiences, I realize that once House of the Rising Sun starts playing, things get...um...interesting, usually with a wonderfully loopy and hyper-dramatic kill scene. Of course none of that really has anything to do with this image, but as I'm experiencing a bit of post-Independence Day free association, it kinda makes an odd sort of sense. This is a great shot with a nice Tara Filter applied. Really wonderful!

my first thought bend those knees oh, the back and then a smile warm hugs, Linda Kaye

He's got that sander smokin! LOL! Very cool photo, Tara!

Ear plugs, a dust mask and I hope goggles:) The softness in your photo gives a sense of dust flying everywhere as this hard worker makes short work of smoothing the floor. Very nicely done:*
jayfar
A lot of skill in doing that and a lot of dust too. Great shot Tara.
Katraz
Great shot but he's going to do his back, I speak from experience.

When I read the title, for some reason the song 'The Drummer and the Cook' popped into my mind. I think the chorous goes 'With one eye on the pot and the other up the chimney'.. ..anyway, this is so BEAUTIFUL! who would have thought one could use that adjective to describe one of the most noisy dusty occupations tjere is?! It has to be have been Tara'd! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TRoI3f6WMM&feature=related

A very poor stance to work at for very long, and that type of mask will not filter out enough of that dust so his lungs are in peril!
awjay
ohhhh the dust
helanker
No wonder he is fast worker, when he has to walk with the head down. Who can do that for very long time? :) Super shot Tara. Love the softness in this. :)

Nice action shot Tara. Weren't you concerned about getting dust in your camera?

I'm with Linda! You'd think they would have invented some sort of long handle for work like this. The high key lighting does give the image a greater feeling of intensity.
