My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Great shot of the inside works- thanks for sharing! :-)

these gears seem to be huge as I guess in the background are stairs. Very nice composition. this would/could be also a fitting candidate for a heavy artistic HDR job.

Ah - delightful, Tara! I love the lighting from above on this. It's enough to show good detail, but it doesn't take away from the semi-mysterious, steampunk look. Great composition! Seems we both have a thing for photographing gears! LOL!

Still going strong after 117 years. From a time when we made things and we made them to last. Fantastic POV and the bits of golden color just brings the whole thing home.
gaius
Super capture. Very interesting place which is probably well worth the visit.

Must be the view some tiny critter would get in an old clock:) Like the sunlight spilling around all those big old gear teeth...plus the unique shadows cast by those same teeth. What a unique visit we had there.

A very sturdy capture of this machinery, a shame they don't make things to last like this now.
