The hills are alive
With the sound of music
With songs they have sung
For a thousand years
Maybe I need to get more sleep! LOL!

Come to the UK.....our illustrious Government has plans for 10,000's of the stupid awful landscape blotting eyesores... Half of which are already up, don't work, half the rest never run properly.. And to add insult to injury, they are made by a French firm....they must be rubbing their hands with glee! The photo is just fine Tara, never fear.. Just the subject matter.... Rob

I also think these are beautiful; I know they're hard on birds, but they serve a good purpose, and they're great photographic fodder. Well done getting that many in one shot and so well composed! Great work!

They aren't singing in harmony though as the blades are at different points but they make a great chorus lineup all the same. An excellent clear capture.

These are gorgeous. We don't grow 'em like that in Illinois. Ours, I think, have German DNA in wherever windmills keep their genetic stuff, and they look utterly...well...point-for-point like the ones I saw in Dortmund. These are nice and refreshing and oddly arachnid in those oddly arachnid ways I like so much. I never imagined that these could have open latticework supports! WOW! And for some reason, I got the same song stuck in my head until I made a mention of Illinois, then it was replaced by the number Leslie Ann Warren's character performed in Victor Victoria. Hmmm...kinda scary, when you consider the song! It's a killer! I love this shot. I wanna see this for myself now. And I hope that soon I will! My first thought was Don Quixote (tilting at windmills). These might have given him second thoughts. They do seem somehow oddly alive. Great POV, very cool shot.

I think they are wonderful! They (The government) wanted to put some on the East End (of LI where all the rich people play) and they were thwarted by the moneyed population. I think we should paint them in various colors and make works of art out of them! Like giant kaleidoscopes. Wouldn't that be a hoot?

This hills are alive! Do they make much noise as some of ours in large groups are bad! They do look a tad fragile on those supports, but maybe they can stand the wind better with holes !!
