My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

It looks an almost desirable residence until you realise what it is! Beautifully done, the estate agent would be SO pleased.

A lovely capture Tara, nice living while there was good weather.

Lovely light and a dandy composition...good story too!

This was a very nice 19th century home. Like the interior details...wooden walls and very wide baseboards. The creamy color and the light...so nice. It is difficult to think that for some years this lighthouse stood completely abandoned. So glad the town folks banded together to save this...just for us to see and photograph:)

What gorgeous form and light - this is magnificent, Tara! The way this looks makes me want to pack my stuff, and move in! I could dig a job just keeping the light lit! LOL! Sounds like a lovely place to live - as long as I can get my HS Internet, I'd be a happy camper!

Your description makes me want to live in a lighthouse Tara. Especially this beautiful one. Wonderful soft light in this hall. Lovely shot.

I never considered the role of lighthouses in anything like human life before your series of lighthouse shots, and I'm so glad for that perceptual shifts. For me, they rank right up there with castles (with bears in the moats rather than water) and that makes them all the more intriguing and somewhat haunting, since they're different things now. I really love the goldish, creamy colors of this shot, the wood tones, the living space colors and that really nice curve going off to the right. Marvelous. I really like this shot!
