I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/Â

ah yes! the subtle comments and thought flit across my mind in an endless stream of observations and statements that would mayhaps get me banned from this site for eternity So I'll just say nice work and let it go at that

Thinking of another famous leaning tower named for the city in which it...um...leans...I figured a good name for this one would be: The Leaning Tower of FrontYardia...and now the problem is finding such a country on a map. I suspect it's across the river from Sidewalkia which is just over there by Lithuania...or is it Canada? I can't remember...anyway, enough rambling. I like this shot and your rock sculptures always fascinate me. I'm always promising to try something like this myself, but I never get around to it. I suspect one day I will...but not today. Tomorrow maybe...or maybe not. We'll see. At any rate, I love seeing these and thinking of the amazing amount of patience it would take to make something like this (and judging by some of the ones I've seen in your gallery, it's a small one.) I just love these things...and one day I'd like to get up that way and photograph a few of these myself. (Okay, I could just make some, I suppose...I'm lazy and prefer to photograph somebody else's handiwork. Great stuff...

Well, Mike, I see that you are still very well balanced, my freind. It's gotta be a zen kind of thing. I tried this a couple months ago, but all I had were a few chunks of limestone, and the odd bit of fractured concrete paver. Still, I had a decent stack going, and even got a few pics. Of couse, compared to your skills with this, my humble effort was a little like stacking bricks! :-D Very cool bit of fooling gravity, and like faemike, I'll just leave it at that. I haven't been to a RenFaire in years - thankfully ours is in early fall - hope this heatwave has subsided by then...

Don't see how that top rock stays put without manipulating gravity. Great job! Hopefully nobody in the neighborhood will blow off steam by knocking over your creation.
