Description

The ship arrived safely at the port of Ketapang and, apart from being frightened out of several years' growth, we passengers were none the worse. I caught a bemo to the town of Banyuwangi and then a bus headed west. All night we rode across Eastern Java and, as dawn broke, we pulled into a bus yard in Yogyakarta. A bemo ride up Jalan Malioboro (Marlboro Road). Another zombie walk down Gang 1 to the Beta Losmen and then some rest in my posh digs.

On with the journey - this will be all new to me, but similar to Bali ? ah, we will see ... so much to see and learn! I also like the little (cobblestone/pavers?) lane, and oh, the luxury of a good nights rest - well deserved Mark, BB
