Description

Carla 'B' arrived here & boy was she a pain (bless her). For a start & not Carla's fault, Hattie didn't like her. I walked into a room to show Hattie the new baby & Hattie would walk out. She just didn't want to know. Carla was not the easiest of pups I have to admit & I hate to say it but I felt so upset that Hattie didn't like her that if Liz her breeder said she would take her back I would have let her go. I feel so sick when I think of that now as I absolutely adore her. Because Hattie & I had been so close I didn't want her to think I had someone new to do things with. All this went on for 4, yes 4 months then one night I returned after a night out & Dave said Hattie & Carla 'B' had been playing in the garden, boy I was so relieved, things could now settle as Hester & Pagan had taken to her straight away. As I said Carla wasn't the easiest pup I have ever had, that is why she got the 'B' added. (You little b****r). I used to say to Dave, don't you dare let Carla out while I am putting the washing on the line, as she used to bring it in again. I was black & blue from her legs & teeth going round my legs. She used to go out & to her standing still was a complete & utter WASTE OF TIME. If I spoke to people I had to walk up & down to keep Carla quiet. Showing her was a pain, she used to bark & play tug of war with her lead or my clothes. I used to spray bitter bite up my arms & down trouser legs to try & stop her. Some one said spray water at her, to stop the barking, so I got a Jiff lemon, took the lemon out of course, & when she barked would spray her, oh she loved that idea & it ended up with me taking the lemon in the ring with water in so she could have a drink if it was hot :o) To Carla 'B' showing was a complete WASTE OF TIME. I did stop showing her but she did so well & did gain a res CC. Bless her. To be continued..... The pic of her head at the bottom was taken by Steve, janeedens son. Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated.xx

What a wonderful tale to go with the photos! I'm sure if it had come to it you wouldn't have parted with her. I often wonder if Maya's previous owners (they only kept her 2 weeks) ever regret not keeping her -all because they said they couldn't housetrain her. Though, on my part I'm so glad they did because we have with us the loveliest girl in the world :)

Oh look she was so sweet such a beautiful girl, and yes I remember those days when Steve was Steve and it was good. He used to love taking her pics and didn't he create the most wonderful drawings of your girls? Ahhh how things have changed since he married and disappeared!!! Really loving the stories about your dogs it is helping me tonight, hugs and love as always. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

What a wonderful girl Carla B is(now I'm going to giggle everytime I read that because now I KNOW what that B stands for!!). I love that bottom right image of her .. she's just such a beautiful girl! All this time I thought Jasmine had the most 'personality', but Carla B has just as wonderful sense herself too! I'm so glad that we're hearing her story. Gracie Anne was the same way to Murphy when I first brought him home. She did not relent with her aloofness for just about 4 months .. and then teensy little cracks began to appear in her cold attitude towards him. Poor Murphy simply worshiped the very ground she walked on.

Wonderful stories and young images of Carla 'B'. I love reading of all her antics and of how she and Hattie were playing together, finally. My cats, Pepper and Tella are finally getting along, though Cleo still mostly stays away from Tella.
