Description

London is burning, and the crazy fires are spreading all over urban Britain. They look a re-make of the 1990s Los Angeles riots, when Uzi-armed Koreans defended their petty shops from the looters. In the news I saw Sikhs and Indian shopkeepers ready to protect their hard-earned properties from the rioters. Two days ago a Tunisian pusher was killed by another Tunisian at the poors'mess next door in my street, but this at least was a normal, ordinary crime, not the destruction spree I saw in the news. So I dedicate this sunset in Tenerife to all of us that can't understand this too realistic John Carpenter's Escape From L.A. Thanks for you kind comments.

This is a marvelous dedi Sandra, and your thoughts on what is going on were very moving. As in a lot of cases so often real life can mirror movies in good and bad ways. I'll never understand how some people think destruction of property and stealing from the innocent is a form of expression or protest. It is just evil people taking advantage of a situation to enrich themselves.

Well put Sandra. We like to think the world is improving...but like flowing lava...there is a lot of heat just below the surface in every country...particularly when expectations lead some to believe they are owed something for nothing. A beautiful scene from Tenerife.
