Description

34 years ago today, Elvis died at his , Memphis,Tennessee home, Graceland, at the young age of 42. I am forever a fan. Who can remember what they were doing when they heard the news of Elvis's death? I was across the street babysitting. By they way this picture was taken in downtown Nashville this last weekend. To See Elvis Timeline Click Here thumb_2236269.jpg

Don't do nothing to my blue suede shoes. Great clarity and lighting in this photo of the erstwhile singer and actor, Lynell! Actually, you could have fooled me....I thought this was really Elvis.

I was very fond of his early music.sad when someone's estate makes more after the person is dead but good for his family.quite an impersonator.wonder if he can sing and sound like the King.I seen an impersonator in Vegas many years ago that weighed nearly 400 pounds or more, but he sure could sing like Elvis

I was in Japan. Though I don't remember exactly what I was doing on the day that he died, I remember the reaction of a lot of the Japanese people, especially the youth. Everywhere, I saw young men and women in 50's clothing and hairdos, crying. I have never seen before or since so many poodle skirts and ponytails. It was very interesting. Excellent shot! I like the selective color.

Quite dramatic. Living fantasies of color into black and white reality.

Interesting to see just a day after running across an old print I have of Elvis done by LeRoy Neiman that appeared in Playboy in 1976. I think I will photograph it and post it. It is an amazing piece of art that I have hung onto for 35 years and I still love it.

Great tribute for the 'King of Rock' - I was also a big Elvis fan and when we have been in Las Vegas last June, we saw a lot of these Elvis imitations, it's just 'one' and that is 'he' forever! ♥ ♥ ♥

Great Picture, I Remember I Was Just Brushing My Teeth Before Heading Off To School, Although I Didn't Know That Much About Elvis At The Time, I Knew It Was A Big Loss, At The Time It Was Said That At Any Given Hour Of The Day There Was A Elvis Movie Being Screened Somewhere In The World. ;~)
