Description
34 years ago today, Elvis died at his , Memphis,Tennessee home, Graceland, at the young age of 42. I am forever a fan. Who can remember what they were doing when they heard the news of Elvis's death? I was across the street babysitting.
By they way this picture was taken in downtown Nashville this last weekend.

I had to laugh loudly, as I switched into your gallery. Now I am a little bit ashamed. I am not a fan of Elvis, I´m a little bit to young for him, my generation is formed more by the 60ies beat explosion. we were much influenced here by "Swinging London". I loved the early Elvis Presley. Here I agree with wysiwig. Fine snapshot!

I've been a fan and admirer of Elvis's music since he started. He was a genius gifted with a most amazing voice. Good image.

Another impersonator ? Elvis is still the King ; nobody can sing like he did. What was I doing when he passed away ? Can't remember. Great photo and postwork.

I heard the news while on vacation in Northern Ontario. Our little transistor radio picked up a rather sporadic CBC National Radio News that day (6pm EDT) and in a dry, matter of fact tone they began the newscast by announcing that singer/song writer Elvis Presley was found dead in his Graceland home. I was too young to understand his importance in the world, but some thirty-four years later, no one can doubt the man impact on our collective culture.

I worked with Elvis on a couple of movies, I find this type of devotion amazing... :-)
