OHHHH GOSH!!! IT IS WONDERFUL, Mark!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a fantastic shot and the colors are just to die for. Look at the reflections... sigh! They are just perfect! You almost make me want to live in Chicago. This is certainly one of your best shots untill now. Man you are good.

In spite ofthe incredible beauty of you photograph, Mark, NOTHING would induce me to live in such a place! I feel overwhelmed and suffocated by those buildings even from this far away. Lovely pic, though!

Such a wonderful image of Chicago, I loved the city when I was there, so clean, so many things to do and see, and I always felt safe, I think that was the most walking I had done around a city ever and wow it wore me out, but great memories. I hope to return someday! Nice work Mark

Mark, I would imagine you have lived in many places. What draws you to the city - rather than the country?

A wonderful capture of this beautiful dawn light across the water towards your city. The reflections and the lights in the water look superb. There is a sense of peace here before the hustle and bustle of the city starts up. A great time of the day to be out and about. Even the sky scrapers have a softness to them in this light.

Mark, this is such a fabulous capture of your city my friend. All I can say is if the city Fathers ever get a look at this pic they are going to be beating down your door to put you in charge of toursim. If you ask me they would be getting the best of both worlds as your photos are fantastic and the write up you would produce for them would of course be eloquent.
goodoleboy
Truly gorgeous ambience and muted color, Mark! You are so fortunate for the opportunity to have the splendor of the buildings and lights of Chicago reflecting on the placid waters of Lake Michigan in this remarkable photo, and also with other pictures I suspect.

There are so many wonderful things about this foto. The lights, of course, but then there's the lake, the reflections, the buildings. I don't know what I like most, but put it all together and it's just gorgeous! I love knowing I walked a lot of that area, though for the life of me, I couldn't tell you just where!!

Cracking shot Mark. Postcard-like. I was almost going to make a comment that referred to the lake as a very large limpid pool but that was probably a step too far:) I do love the early light of dawn...all the soon to disappear night lights of the city and the lucious multicolored reflections. First class!

I love this view. To me, the iconic building is the Hancock, but that's because it was my landmark, my beacon for "home," when I was there. I was going to tell you how much I liked the ducks in this shot, but when I looked again I see they aren't there. I do like the ducks, but that's a different photograph! LOL! Now there you go. How often do you get comments on photographs you haven't actually posted? :P
