This is the most complicated render I've ever done! I had a lot of both fun & frustration doing it, too. I also learned a lot. Partial list: Try out the included lights. It's amazing what even I can do with a T-shirt model, a body suit, & playing with colors & mat zones in the D3A Material Tab. How much complexity pushes the limits of my computer.
I spread my wings on this piece. I morphed both the Farissa and Grandmaster features more than I usually do, mostly in the faces. I used the old-young slider to alter the Farissa set for a "gracefully-aged" 70+ woman. While The Grandmaster is an older man character, I changed some of the head morphs to--hopefully--make the underlying facial structure resemble that of the younger Dantris character, a Michael 3 model. For both Z'Rissa and Dantris, I used some of the clothing morphs to add just a little weight in the midsection, to add to the elder look.
For Tristin, I was forced to do a lot of work. There just isn't that much for the Millenium children (or even Kids 4) especially for the boys. In desperation, I worked over the Milboy shirt and the bodysuit, playing around with different colors. I even dared to alter values in the specular, instead of just the diffuse, which Spacer_01 had taught me some time ago. I think I now understand a little more about the Materials Tab. Maybe soon, I'll dare to get GIMP & take Spacer_01 up on his offer to teach me how to make my own textures. (But first, I urgently need to learn how to do shadows in D3A.)
I did want a couple visual hints confirming this was taking place in the Galaxy Far, Far Away. The more obvious is the alien pet, played by the Faerie Dragon. Yes, I did use the model in "Consultation," as a stuffed toy that a much-younger Dantris & his patient are playing with. This is an actual live critter, though. I just like the model & it does add a subtle connection between the 2 pieces. The other hint is in the planter. The taller plants are Hibiscus, of course. The short, frilly red-orange and blue ones? Anemone models, standing in for a dry-land native Aderaanian annual.
Only postwork is signature & fixing a couple bits of poke-thru in clothing.

Since I was too wordy for the upload page :) I cut out the story part. So here it is: Donovan Morningfire is the nom de plume of a good family friend & RPG freelancer. The Star Wars RPG campaign he's currently running was inspired by one created by my boss at d20radio.com. It's an "Alternate Universe" or "Infinities" campaign; that is, "Suppose this happened instead of what Mr. Lucas said happened?" (Something like those old Marvel "What If..." comics issues, or some subgenres of hard science fiction.) It diverges from canon at the end of Revenge of the Sith: The Jedi kill Palpatine, not the other way around, & while Anakin doesn't become a Sithlord, he does renounce the Jedi Order. Does everyone live happily ever after? Not quite. Fast forward almost 40 years. Republic leaders and Master Leia Skywalker order the players to track down her prodigal twin brother, Master Luke Skywalker, whom Leia claims has fallen to the Darkside. After several adventures, the PCs come across Master Luke & discover that there's a "Sith twin" but it's not Luke. On top of that the Chancellor is very publically assassinated by Jedi terrorists," resulting in the Order being in Big Trouble. Master Luke, seeing a need for backup--& undoubtably balance in the Force--tasks the PCs with finding several ex-Jedi. Turns out Anakin wasn't the only Jedi disaffected by the Clone Wars; he was just the only one to make a public spectacle out of it. Several other Jedi--including some prominent Masters--also found themselves burnt out, at odds with the Jedi High Councillors, &/or with forbidden attachments, so resigned quietly. Near the top of Luke's list are 2 who might be familiar to viewers of my little gallery--Dantris Solomani & Z'Rissa Organa (Solomani). Healer Dantris & the lightsaber instructor Z'Rissa were originally created as non-player characters for my SW games; however Donovan has long used them, with my permission, in his Star wars fanfics as friends of his namesake Jedi player character & fanfic hero. This is the first time the pair has appeared in one of his games & I was thrilled enough to offer to do a picture as a visual aid. I even had a little--a very little--input in their "Alt-U" history & current life. After leaving the Order, the pair went to Z'Rissa's homeworld of Alderaan & raised a family. Dantris continued practicing as doctor & Healer. Z'Rissa has been & done a number of things over the years--from friend to the late Queen Breha to quietly studying lightsabers & the ancient Mecrosa-style lightfoils. For the past few years they have been retired, spending much of their time doting on their grandson Tristin--& teaching him some of the Jedi arts. Donovan opted for a depiction of a warm family scene, with no hint of Jedi. So we have Dantris, Tristan & a pet playing in the Solomani estate's garden. Lady Z'Rissa has just joined them. She has returned from a visit to Aldera Palace, & is still dressed in formal court attire and coiffure, rather than the simpler styles she favors.
