A beautiful and moving tribute to those we lost on that infamous day ten years ago, Steve! This is stunning! I remember well that day. I was working for Gateway as a tech at the Country Store in Overland Park, Kansas. I was driving to work when I heard on the radio that a plane had crashed into the WTC. I thought maybe it was a horrible accident (a B-25 had crashed into the Empire State Building back in the 40s, perhaps this was a similar accident). Then they said a second plane had crashed into the other tower. I knew then it was no accident. When I got to work, everything had stopped - everone was glued to the TV... Then they said a third plane had hit the Pentagon, and a fourth had gone down in Pa. It was sickening to see the towers collapse... No - we will never forget..

I too was at work when this happened. it was lunch, I had just sat down to eat when another worker brought out small TV and started telling us what had happened...This was just after the first plane hit, we all sat there glued to the TV set, when the second plane hit.We watched till they came crumbling down...No more work was done that day!.. GREAT Tribute, and Yes we well never forget...

I turned on my tv right after the first plane hit... as I stood and stared at the tv, they had a fixed shot on the burning building, the camera shot didn't change.... I thought something was going on in Denver and was trying to make any sense of what I was viewing, then the second plane came into view and smashed into the building - by this time, I knew it was the twin towers... as the flames shot out of the building, I swear I saw the face of the devil... it was as if his face was looking down at the street and then raised up to look at the camera, the eyelids looked like they were opening and flames began to appear and then flames from the mouth - I know I have a vivid imagination, but from all the crap I've seen in my life about the devil, I swear I saw the face that day - it made me step back from my tv, that's how intense the image was - none of us will ever be the same again.... I typed this out originally for RodS - I'm leaving on a Jet plane tomorrow - I've had a lot of real life going on, sorry I haven't been around to comment, and I'll be out of state for the next two weeks without the net, so I'll see ya in October - stay safe - a lot of people don't know if the US was under attack, our President would come visit you - well, Colorado Springs that is - I was in that mountain about 30 years ago - HUGE - AND you know, they didn't show me but a small area - but what I seen was HUGE - LOL

It was evening here. I was drinking with a friend. Then my wife pops her head in and says to turn on the TV NOW! First we laughed and said 'What a jerk. Betcha the pilot was drunk'. Then the second plane hit. Then we saw the people jumping from windows. That was when the whole world changed.

I was at the fire station just getting off duty when we found out. we rushed upstairs to watch the TV. after the towers came down we packed our gear and were going to N.Y. By the time we got there ( 6 hours after the collapse ) We were not allowed to enter the area by the police, they said there were too many coming in to help and things were not coordinated so we were directed to one of the fire houses ( I believe it was station 5 ) to standby to help them answer the every day calls. Spend a week there and met some great people but never did get to the site.
