Description
Posting this a year ago I had turned off the comments. It was a first, one I would hope not to be judged for, a part of my life ended that day as well. Was not thinking at the time and had forgotten that one could save as a favorite and leave a comment that way. Thank you!, to all that shared their sympathies.
Guess this would be considered a repost, another first for this gallery. Many times I've heard her voice inside my head saying I should allow such a beautiful picture to be enjoyed by others. So I have placed it in the landscape genre instead of memorial, and comments are welcome, because Mom would have wanted it this way.
Why a rainbow image for this memorial, please click link below.
To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!!

I loved this posting the first time around and it has more power now. Your Mom would have loved this rainbow and this view. I feel your pain and I miss her too. Dad

a beautiful tribute to your mother. I was lucky enough to get to see my mom this past month for my daughters wedding it had been three years and that was when my dad passed away that I had seen her last. I am sure your mom would be thrilled with your post and your beautiful photography.

I remember this superb image and your wonderful tribute to your mom. Time goes on, but those we love best stay firmly entrenched in our hearts. It's lovely to see this image again. The beauty of the land and clouds graced by a glorious rainbow. Beautiful composition, color, and light. The green area in the front dips in the center making a inversely matching shape to the rainbow. In the far distance a structure of sandstone is lit in sunlight. The light shines down, and a veil seems to drape from the rainbow to kiss the land. Excellent image and words for your mother. Beautifully done.
