Description

This is only part of the rocket garden at the Kennedy Space Center. Far left is a Mercury/Atlas rocket used to launch early Mercury capsules. The red tip is an emergency rocket to eject the capsule in case of rocket launch problems. 2nd from left is an Atlas/Thor rocket with an Agena upper stage for launching satellites into orbit. 3rd from left is a Mercury/Redstone rocket and this was the predecessor to the Atlas/Thor rocket. The next rocket (with the Qtip look) was a luna moon vehicle (I think)with no name plate. The NASA unit did not have a name plate but looks like a very early rocket. Far right is a Jupiter C/Redstone rocket with a dummy satellite on top. Bottom far right is a single Saturn 5 engine, just one of the five engines in last nights posting. For perspective, there is a group of people behind the engine. Info from Wikipedia. Zoom will help a lot! Thanks for stopping by my gallery, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana
