My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

I like this. have you read what the Indian side was . it differ than what the white man side is

Custer divided his troops into three parts. He led one part personally in an attack on a Native American village, hoping to surprise them, conduct his massacre and win glory for himself. He ran right into an ambush. Custer had it coming. Very nice composition with the sky and field behind the sculpture.

Intriguingly, the clouds at about mid-point seem to mimic the shapes of the sculpture, or at least the mood of it. And as a monument goes, this is quite fitting, especially since Custer had that Karma thing coming. All of that aside, this is a marvelous photograph. The crop calls attention to the swoopy, curvy, exciting bits of the sculpture itself, and the flat vista behind it, with exciting clouds just adds to the compositional brilliance. This rocks. I also saw this on your screen...so that's bringing back some really good memories.

Yes, I see what Chip sees in the clouds..serendipity at it's best. This is a super object, and an inspired composition by my excellent tutor!

WOW! It cannot have been easy to capture this clearly, but you did it perfectly. :)

Stupendous...like ghosts riding from the past!

wysiwig has put it perfectly, unfortunately.. He was a glory hunter.. Every Army has them.. They usually end in a disaster for some poor army led by them, or themselves.. He truly deserved to get his butt kicked by some Indian Cheif (Sitting Bull) who knew what he was doing.. Good image.. Rob

Fascinating outline sculpture that looks great against that classic powder blue, cloud-filled sky...

Wonderful capture and presentation!!

Like ghost riders from the past. I like the simple outline art work in this sculpture, which you have captured very nicely. As stated above, the grass and clouds add very nicely to the impression of the transparent riders. Good work, Tara! :-)
