Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Wonderful capture, Bill. This one looks to me something like a camel...not Tara, the rocks!

Bill, you don't worry about getting to anyone's Gallery...it sounds like you two are having such fun, so enjoy it! :-) I love this post!! Having her down below REALLY makes the shot! Thank you for doing that! The rock, well to me it looks like a camels head up there...just hope it don't spit! LOL

Seeing Tara's posture immediately conjured the sound of her voice, declaring: "This is what Chicago looks like!" As she looked way up craning her neck to see the top of something much, much, much, much taller than the fabled Tower of Babel, though probably less labor-intensive to put up. Needless to say, I got a giggle and an immediate hankerin' for pecan sandies and grapes and Diet Coke, all enjoyed 14 stories above Washington and State with some of the most seriously cool reflections and cityscapes. Of course, were I in my teens, I'd use a descriptive adjective like sick to describe an extreme measure of coolness. Dontcha just love the way language morphs? Anyway, this is a wicked-cool shot. I love that formation and the way it recalls some alien planet where alien planet sorts of things happen, usually against dramatic rock-formation backdrops. And I have to say that's one frakkin' huge rock. I mean...seriously! I love this shot.
