Description
Captured 10/13/11, early in the AM, on the front yard of a house within the general neighborhood, as the owner stood, with arms crossed, on the steps giving me a suspicious look, which appears to be the norm around here.
Well worth a ZOOM.
Anyway, I got many shots from this beautiful clump of grass, which I will be posting every so often.

A beautiful image, Harry. I've been away longer than I wanted, but I've seen everything in the meantime & loved this. I know the look you got when you took this, I've yet to find a manner that makes people happy when I'm taking pictures of their 'stuff'. But photo-journalists put up with it all the time, I guess the rest of us have to as well. Simple image, but your sense of proportion & flow & balance is beautiful, as is the play between highlight & shadow, gold & muddy gray (almost blue), and branch & many tentacles. Just the right angle too. More beauty from your day-to-day world. A gentle gem.

Well, obviously you were casing the gentleman's grass for a future act of crime. You can't be too careful you know. Beautiful capture! Superb detail, color, and light! I'm glad you got a lot of shots. I look forward to seeing more.

He must be very possessive of his grass, I can't imagine why he'd be suspicious of your photographic activities. Great capture of these beautiful seedheads!
