Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Very cool shots and collage of this Mig, Bill! Looks great!

Very good photos, Bill. I like the full front one showing how the air intake is split to make place for the cockpit. I doubt many people think about the split and, if they do, why it's there. Looking at the engine, though, I wonder where the air intakes are (I don't see any). Fuel pumps and combustion chambers are clearly visible. Nice job. Nice seeing the outside from different angles. I bet Neil will be quite tickled by this post! :-)

Great collage of this Mig Bill, well done!

Memories huh, Bill? Yes, these were kind of out of the way.. But now I think they have pushed the Korean War exhibits to the fore and given several new paintworks.. A GREAT collage mate for a super artist and friend! Rob

The F-86 Saberjet headache on display. Fine POVs of the MiG-15 in this cool collage, Bill. The perfectly round barrel shaped fuselage really comes to the fore in these fotos.

Oh cool!...it was interesting reading up on the event, but then you present this, the actual aircraft.Sure Jeremy will enjoy this as well, all that aside another excellent aircraft collage. This really shows off why it was called the 'flying barrel'.Thanks for the dedi and takeing time to dig these out (must have been a job and a half with all the pictures you took :-) Cheers Bill....much appreciated.

Neat looking collage Hugs Susan~

Excellent background info- I too am amazed the pilot sits plumb in a little island in the air-flow of that whopping engine- I'd feel really nervous, like I was about to be "munched" up.

Great collage of this awesome aircraft!!!!

Good presentation and good to see it in its original colors. A friend of mine had a Polish two seat Mig 15 (SB Lim 2) and he never repainted it, it was in Polish Air Force colors. He couldn't afford to fly it himself due to fuel cost (he had a contract with the US air Force weapons training program at Nellis) so he sold it and bought a ... Mig 17! (How's that afterburner workin' out for ya, Bruce?)

Great shot Bill. I love the rumble of the Mig engine. We did the same (evaluate and return) with a Mig-25 that was flown to Japan by a defecting pilot!

Fantastic collage Bill and learned a few things from your link to Neil's posting.
