Description

Wallace, Idaho. This is a single photograph with minimal postwork. I don't know how many pictures I took of this storefront, but eventually I'll make you look at all of them! LOL! The items in the windows were fascinating, and the light was just right for catching the reflections of buildings across the street.

interesting capture, Tara. I'm not sure what the bobcat wants from the barber, but I hope the barber complies quickly Great reflections

Amazing how you make these reflections work for you, Tara! This has an almost spiritual feel for some reason - like the spririt of the cat is hanging out in the barbershop.... Yeah, I'm wierd sometimes! LOL!

Well-seen, I definitely thought it was multiple shots blended together when I first saw it...

What a gorgeous natural collage as I've come to call reflection shots. I mean, they're collage-like, only you find them rather than make them...and that makes them so much fun! And I love this one. I like the bobcat in the chair as much as I love the ornate building reflected. The bobcat actually reminds me of a particular house-cat named Natasha. I had to give her up before going to Prague, as no one was able to keep her for me. A pity. Anyway, she thought she was larger than your average housecat, and had a wonderful habit of stalking things...anythinig especially Q-tips and articles of clothing, and occasionally, non-Chip people. Anyway, she had a favorite chair near a favorite window and this shot made me think of that, despite Natasha's absolute non-resemblance to the bobcat here. This is a fantastic, super, rich and naturally-layered shot!

I remember this store window well. I tried to walk on by and it just stopped me in my tracks and pulled me back saying, Hey! Take a look at me. What do you think of this? I thought a lot of all I saw and shot quite a few pics here. When are we going back to Wallace? They have some great mine tours too. About your reflection shot...superb!

Marvellous! You might consider making a coffee table book of your reflection pics, Tara!

I love those coloured tiles above the windows in the building reflection...they used to take such care with ornamentation! The poor lynx looks a bit crazy, I guess I would be too if I were stuck in a barber's chair...what a wonderful find!

So I read the title and think, "Well, Tara's really lost it this time." Of course it makes perfect sense once you see the image. Unusual display but once again your eye has captured what lies beyond. Outstanding and kind of surreal.
