Description
Recent photos of the large airport terminal in the capital of Thailand (nee Siam) taken by my nephew while on personal business from his home base just outside of Hanoi, Vietnam. He has a temporary job teaching English to young students in that city.
He took the pics, I did the postwork.
Totally ZOOM worthy.
A very pretty and striking interior. It has escalators as you can see. I fantasize it as being the inside of a giant dirigible. Thailand has come a long way.
See y'all, thankx for popping in, and for any and all favs and laudatory comments.

A window into a world I shall never visit.

It is very spacious and comfortable, as much as an airport can be, anyway! Nice postwork on your nephew's shots, Harry!

Thanks for the classy update Harry. I went to Bangkok on R&R from Vietnam in 1966. The airport then was much like you'd have found in the late 1940s or early 1950s...a single control tower on top of a small terminal...no jetways...they still rolled stairs up to the plane door and you either walked or took a bus from the airplane to the terminal. Things sure have changed over the past 45 years:) Of course that is the story worldwide.

You and your nephew did very well and showed us how attractive airports can be! It really doesn't take much, to make them more appealing to the eye, like flowers, plants, light-fittings etc. - and design of course!

Now this certainly is interesting Harry, having travelled through one or two airports of late.. Cool shots indeed, great post, thanks! Rob

Beautiful interiors and images! Beautifully composed shots. Thanks for sharing them. I hope the horrible flooding in Bangkok recedes soon.

More security than passengers but a beautiful display below. A very nice share.
