My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

I would say it needs a new roof. LOL! Very cool photo!!! Love the old wood textures!!

Now THAT is a roof with stories to tell and probably at least one colony of woodlice sheltering under the eaves, somewhere...though if there were woodlice, there'd be a wee bit less roof and more moss! Don't ask how or why I know that. Anyway, this is a brilliant image! I love the details and the textures and how parts of this actually make me think of dragon scales, which--of course--makes me think of Agara, since the "dragon scale" pattern is a common motif when you get out some distance from Pekkur and closer to some small, out-of-the-way town like Ōt, which is a nice, little, medieval sort of a town, with castle ruins "downtown" and lots of old, wooden buildings. Hmmm...I suspect that since this made me think of Agara that I should probably revisit, especially since I've not visited Ōt yet. I wonder what's happening there?

I was disappointed in Cripple Creek...I wanted you to see the place as I had first seen it 15-20 years ago. Your roof pano does catch the flavor of the way it used to be! Great job catching the details...along with the details comes the atmosphere of yesteryear.

Yep, that is certainly a roof that looks like it is about to fall in....but probably will not for 100 years to come! Great Pano! Rob

I love old and rundown buildings, they show a different time, different ways of thinking. This is fabulous craftsmanship, stunning shot.

That's delightful, Tara! Just look at all that delicious detail - wow! Nice to see a little bit of history left un-gussied up for the tourist trade..

You can still see some of what was once a very nice house in the shingle siding and details on the eaves. A shame to let it decay like this. A wonderful pano.

So much interesting detail - well done on stitching the images together! Clive
