The images I have chosen to show on Renderosity are just a small sample of my 2D vector and 3D CGI artwork. Interested viewers are invited to also visit my personal website: http://www.dcmstarships.com BIO I enjoy creating original designs of speculative starships, space stations, and futuristic architecture. I started out using TrueSpace for 3D modeling and rendering. Now, I use Rhino5 for 3D modeling and rendering. 2D touch up work on my images is done with Corel Draw and Corel Photo-Paint. For backgrounds, I have used Hubble Space Telescope photos, Universe Image Creator, Lunar Cell and various Photoshop tools provided by fellow Renderosity artists. In addition to making my own artwork, I enjoy reviewing the work of other 3D CGI artists, especially those also doing spaceships. I try to support my fellow Renderosity artists by making supportive comments on those images that catch my eye. I like to buy science fiction themed 3D CGI parts and custom photoshop brushes from the Renderosity Marketplace as another way to support my fellow artists.

It's a stinking hot Sunday afternoon in South Australia. So of course I'm drinking ice cold beer and listening to Sigur Ros. Which of course will always induce the odd epiphany or two. So here is the 'Heat/Beer/Saeglpour' that hit me whilst I was going through your recent posts.... You are very good at what you do. Quite probably the best in this particular genre. But if an old, damaged, bikie (Yes in South Oz they still call us bikies not bikers) can make an unsolicited and possibly offensive suggestion... Take it up a notch. As good as you are, you can be better. I hope you read this soon (I'll delete it when the beer wears off) and feel challenged. Kceg. PS,'Starship Commonwealth Version B Scene 2' impressive stuff.

I understand that part of posting images on an artists' forum like this is to be encouraged to strive for ever higher levels of skill and expression. Getting such feedback from fellow artists who have already demonstrated their formidable skills means a lot to me. I am glad when my work evokes such a strong response from my peers. One of the major tasks I am currently undertaking is to learn the major OpenSource 3D CGI program, Blender. I am hoping that working with such a capable program will stir my creativity to go beyond the types of designs I have doing during my tenure with Rhino 3D.
