Hi! Another Berlin pic, taken in summer 2011 very, very early in the morning. The title says it all: An empty restaurant where no Berlinian spend his or her time after work or at an warm summer evening. The place here is the Gendarmenmarkt, the finest place in Berlin and one of the finest in Europe. At the evening it is overcrowded with tourists, the prices for a beer or a glas wine are very much to expensive, and it may be that a stranger declares you your own city and what we have to do better.... In 2011 nine million tourists visited Berlin and the hotels counted more than 20 million sold beds in their houses, that is number 3 after London and Paris.... Many of us say: "Enough is enough, the city is totally overcrowded and its infrastructure is beyond their capacity". And tourists pay too much for all, its a crime. So I call this fine restaurant a tourist trap. To take a pic like this you have to come early in the morning. I came at 6.00 A.M. after a sleepless night.
