Very zoomworthy!
A much more fun part of my visit to Belgium was the huge number of vehicles we saw. These are just a few, by far my favourite is the Tiger II in the middle...you can read the story of it's rescue and restoration, Click Here
My thanks for all the comments over the last few days. Not the best photos, but I only had a pocket digital.
(I suppose I should identify the above, not planned so off the top of my head.Top left and clockwise, PzKw V 'Panther'(E?), M3 White Scout Car, Dodge WC-56 (or 57) Command Car, Achilles Tank Destroyer (U.S M10 with 17Lb Gun), Citroen 11cv, Original VW Beatle, the legendary Willy's Jeep, GMC Deuce and a Half, and in the middle PzKw VI Koenigstiger) Please feel free to correct any errors, in red ink in the margin....)

Oh, my. I see you've had a lot of fun on your trip to Belgium. Thanks for the link to the Tiger II restoration. I wondered how they got the gun barrel restored. Amazing, attaching a Panther's 75 mm. barrel onto the Tiger II and it not being noticeable (at least not in the photos I've seen. Thanks for the collage. I assume you'll be posting more to keep us a wee tad jealous (if I may confess). Keep up the good work! :-)

Excellent montage, a petrolhead's paradise!

Ahhhhh ... tanks. Yes. You'd be surprised at how little I actually have to listen to about tanks! LOL! Great collection!

Excellent collection and with your small pocket camera no less! Geez...I do think I've been to all the same places some years ago. Imagine sending all that armor out with the plan of...you must capture the allied fuel dump to have a chance to succeed. Desperate times call for desperate measures... All I can add is this about the Panther: Panther Ausf. G – Houffalize (Belgium) This tank belonged to the 116th Panzerdivision. Its number was originally 111, and it was extracted from the river Ourthe in Sept. 1948

Thanks Bill, now I remember...this is it's original paintwork, though someone painted 401 on the turret the original and correct 111 is still visible above the weld line of the glasis plate.

Nice collage Neil. A couple of thoughts.....The jeep obviously is not in Pattons third Army (tops down $50.00 fine) ;) there are several pictures of the Panther I have seen, in the river, upside down! Neat to have been there when you went!

More excellently drool-worthy pictures of goodies from your trip! Seen one or two (in other places of course) but as for the Tiger well lol IF you wish to see a working Tiger Tank, (on a good day, engine wise!), go to Bovington Tank Museum on their tank days.. They have a working original.. See website! Great work Neil.. Rob
