Description
Every girl enjoys a nice 'makeover' every so often, and even a top secret agent has to take time for a bit of luxury. I took G4 to the RodS Photoshop & PP2012 Mat Room Salon for a little makeover, inspired by my friend Roxy's makeovers on her Ishtar characters.
First, I created a new skin mat in Photoshop. I've given her some new make-ups – lipsticks, eyeshadows, and so on. I'll be making more for her, too – a girl can't have too many eyeshadows or lipsticks, ya know.... We also stopped by the Photoshop Tatoo Parlor, as she's wanted a couple tats for a while. She has a nice little butterfly on her left boob, and a tribal tat on her right arm. She also got a little flower tat in a more 'personal' place....*wink* She says she might let y'all see it sometime......if you're really, really good....
Of course I used the subsurface scattering node to give her skin that natural glow. I also used a 'glossy' node (New Node>Lighting>Specular>Glossy) to give her skin a subtle, natural sheen. For those of you that like the technical details, I set the specular color to: Hue=10 Sat=240 Lum=187 for a flesh pink color. The glossy node is plugged into the Poser Surface node at the specular color connection (color white), and the specular value is 0.400000. I left the gamma at 2.2 in the render settings.
She felt so good about her “new look' that she wanted to stop by the Late Night Poetry Cozy Cafe (even though it was only afternoon) for a nice hot cuppa... She takes her coffee seriously, you know...
I'll be taking Arawen out for a little makeover next.
G4's earrings are Vulcan Princess, from the Rendo freebies section. She's wearing the LD Tank Top, also available in the freebies, with a custom mat by me.
Other than some minor level tweaking in Photoshop, and my sig, this is pretty much an untouched render from Poser Pro 2012.
I want to thank you all very much for all the wonderful comments, sitemails, thoughts and prayers over the last few days. My dad was released from the geriatric psychiatry center today, and is now back home at his apartment. The doctors at the center said there was nothing serious wrong with him, and his confusion was likely due to a couple bad nights sleeping, and a disturbing dream. He was really touched to know so many people from all over the world were thinking of him and praying for him.

Firstly, let me say that I am glad to hear that your dad's issues did not turn out to be something really major. You just never know at that stage - even a little thing can set them off and send them down so quick. Secondly this is a real friggin cool job you did on her. Wow, does she ever look good and if it weren't on a G4 body this would probably be pushing into the realism zone. I'm taking notes on this one but still not sure how you set the actual color numbers in the material room. Great idea using the additional glossy node, it really worked well here. Overall she looks just great, best I've ever seen the Girl anywhere.

OH WOW Rod! Sure glad to hear the good news about your dad! I was worried, from the sound of things, it was bad. G4 sure looks HOT! Of course she always does anyway, but you did a great job with her make over. I'm not a fan of the tribal tattoos - especially on women - but I LOOOOVE the butterfly on the chest! VERY SEXY! But, now I am REALLY curious about the flower tattoo! I WANNA SEE! I WANNA SEE!!!! PLEEEEEASE?!!!!!!! Tell G4 I have been VERY GOOD LATELY!! LOL! SUPERB image buddy!

Glad to hear that your dad is doing okay, Big Bro. :-) Hope you are doing okay too, as I know you must not have gotten any sleep or rest yet. Your work is absolutely exceptional. The lighting is quite impressive and of course, with all your talents--- this is already expected.

On, Rod, I missed your other post, and I"m sorry to be behind on your Dad's situation. I'm glad that it has turned a bit for the better, and I know it cannot have been easy. hugs Then, this is absolutely super work! Love the G4 look here, she is very cool with her new tattoos and I think the skin is amazing! You did wonderful work. :) Quite blown away by her and can't wait for other makeovers!

So glad to hear about your Dad being release Rod, and it is an answer to prayers that it was only confusion from being tired. Trust me my friend, I think we share some of the same fears when it comes to our parents. Now let me say what an outstanding job you did with the make over on your gal here, she looks first rate.

Great news about your Dad Rod, so glad he is out of hospital and in his own home.. You can breath a little easier now.. Superb work on G4 also my friend she is looking lovely.. Love the butterfly on her breast now I need to examine the other one, the one that we cant see lol.. Thanks for letting us know how you did it also.. see a small moment of insanity wont hurt,well i have these moments more often ...........would ruin us to drive me to hospital all the time .so i stay in bonage in front of my pc and ute only releases me for a pee and a dump once in a while.the rest of the time i spend on Spackovia/Spackopolis. but dont worry i dont bite (yet)muahahaha. just joking to cheer you up. hug the "old"man.

Rod, that's great news and I'm so happy for your dad and you! I ADORE that tank top quote. I have no idea how to create new skin mats but it sounds like you had fun and the results look terrific. Thanks for the tech notes on the lighting - I can use them to learn a little more about how things work and change. And no matter how friendly G4 seems here I don't think I'd interrupt her coffee and reading!
