My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

We're looking at a distance of several miles to the horizon. Excellent capture, Tara Eastern Washington or Oregon would be my guess

Fascinating...I've scrunched down...I've sat tall...I've leaned to the left, leaned to the right...and although I am tired tonight...I realize this must be farmland somewhere west of Dry Falls, Washington. The greens and yellows, light and shadows do it for me. Your words are a challenge, your image a beauty.

It's first thing in the morning here, but I felt compelled to do your workout, and what a surprise! Now I've finished coughing I can say...WONDERFUL! I'm glad you said about the wires, it's good to see it both ways.

Excellent capture! :)

This is such an nteresting capture. One doesnt imagnt what distance the field has when you just look slightly at it, but when you mention the wires. WOW! I love the colors in this shot and the thought of how BIG it all is.

Very cute scene. Great work

Outstanding DOF. Beautiful color range. I really like the soft green of the highlighted leaves in the foreground.

OK - Jo just came downstairs and saw me doing this wierd butt-dance in my chair, weaving around to look at my monitor from different angles.... I think she's calling the happy wagon for me.. Thanks for that, Tara! LOL! I didn't notice the wires until you mentioned them - but wow, it really gives it a sense of scale - this is a huge chunk of real estate! But I just love the layers of color here - so cool! It's an abstract in realism. I think you just invented a new art form...

What I really like is the little lines in the grassy growth, like the lines in skin when you look at it up close...Well seen, as always, and very well captured!!

Oh Lovely scene Hugs Susan~

I love the fact that I have a flat screen monitor that enjoys playing around with images as I move, guzzle Dr. Pepper, flick over to YouTube and cue up a video and then switch back here. It's fun. I love the depth in this, the depth within depth in this and the whole idea that there are telephone wires in a part of the picture where, logically, telephone wires should not exist! Well, it all depends on where you were when you took this shot, but one doesn't often think of telephone wires and "lower left" in the same conceptual sentence. That alone makes this into a humdinger of a great shot...and then there's the sage-ish looking plant thing, the Martian red landscape, the blue sky, the whole rolling depth thing going on here, and the fact that the pale green is actually quite intense--rather paradoxical in the best ways possible. In short: this is a brilliant piece of photographic work.

Wow, I'm glad you mentioned the telephone wires Tara. I couldn't find them at first, had to go to zoom. I would have never guessed at that scale!
