Description
I've always liked the look of these monster warships cutting through rough seas, but it fascinates me even more to imagine what it must have been like to be shot off one of those catapults into the air. Exhilarating no doubt...and for the pilot, a chance to be free of the claustrophobic quarters of the ship. The guys were the scouts for these monsters made of fire and metal.
These open seas renders are satisfying when done, but slow and time consuming to do...it is definitely a challenge to get "the look".
IJN Battleship Ise: Terrific sketchup model by The Architect from sketchup warehouse...texture changes and a couple of minor adjustments and a lot of patience.
Mitsubishi F1M "Pete": Another great sketchup offering by D James
Vue6 Infinite, and some minor maintenance in PS CS3
