Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
I did this last year but I was so tired of snow scenes I just shelved it. Now seems a good time for it.
Of all of Ken Gilliland's birds (and I have them all :)) this is my absolute favorite. Please zoom for a better view of him.
Thanks for all your kind comments on Linda's (hipps13's b-day card).
The Heron's in Linda's card were Chinese Pond Heron's from Ken's Songbird Remix Shorebirds collection 2. The foreground terrain was actually textured with a photo of rocks and overlaid with Vue water to create the effect. The waterfall was another terrain textured with Vue water and the white water parts and mist were painted in Photoshop. It was a fun experiment.

A great realism for this one too ! I remember I've seen photographs exactly like that with two cranes dancing in the snow in Japan !! The half iced stream is very well rendered and your sky is gorgeous !! A very nice work !!
