Description
Captured 10/18/09, in the afternoon, in the beautiful Chinese section of the beautiful Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in beautiful San Marino, California.
A ZOOM would be most advantageous.
Leading up, or exiting, a path to one of the bridges in the gardens is a lovely inlaid carpet of pebble mosaic, not of plastic, wood, or whatever material is popular these days, but probably stone, or possibly some hi tech composite, each pebble meticulously placed in exact position. I was stunned coming upon this striking scene.
Actually, I suspect a couple of original tiles were created, followed by molds, in order to mass produce tons/tonnes of these beauties. Kind of takes the romance out of it, but pretty anyway.
Auf wiedersehen, thankx for hopping aboard, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

However it was accomplished it works marvelously well; what a beautiful pathway! Great shots showing the layout and its lead-in to the bridge, Harry!
