Description

These clematis seed heads reminded me of Thing 1 and Thing 2. :) This is that weird time of the year when we on the West Coast are still in the old year while most of the rest of the world has passed midnight and is in 2012 already. Renderosity time says it's already nearly 1:00 in the morning on January 1st, but my clock says it's just before 11:00 at night on December 31st. Happy New Year to you wherever you are! :)

My clock says it is 10:56pm as I write your comment. My mom's Clematis looks the same way. for some reason, though, I never associated Addam's Family with them. thank you for the wonderful memories Happy new Year, when It comes, that is!

You know, Little Thing 1 and Little Thing 2 are two of my favorite characters in anything, ever!. And this is a perfect reminder of that! I love the natural wonderfulness of this and your crisp clarity just makes it jump and jiggle in all of the best possible ways. This rocks and it's a great way for me to start off the New Year. Of course, I also started off the New Year watching Battlestar Galactica. I'm such a nerd! And on that note, Happy New Year to you and I'm hoping that 2012 is the year I get to Seattle!

Hmm, Dr Seuss portrayal of the Things? I like the thought of that. For some odd reason I'm also thinking Muppets... These are so wonderful to see, and your monotone works perfectly!

I don't recall exactly where you found these...maybe up a canyon above Provo? Wherever it was it was fun going there and being there with you. As for Dr. Seuss...here's a fitting quote for us for the new year, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” Looking forward to lots more trips, camera in-hand, during 2012:* Oh, ha, ha...did I mention I really like this little patch of roadside seed heads? Well, I really do!

A super capture of these seed heads, they remind me of the fire works that have been let off all around the world to bring in the new year. We are now past lunchtime on the 2nd day of the new year. I hope you have a super 2012.

Very cool "Things" you have here, Tara! I think they would make for a great sci-fi story.... The Things That Ate Seattle" or something like that! :-D A Very Happy New Year to you and Bill and Mandy, too!!
