Description

The Sydney Opera House was designed by Danish architect Joern Utzon (1918-2008). It is situated on Bennelong Point and opened in 1973. It has become not only the symbol of Sydney but of Australia. There is no doubt that JOERN UTZON did capture the imagination of the world with his majestic billowing sail design and use of sparkling materials to create a line and shape with architectural integrity. It is our most recognizable icon ... and we love it and are very proud of it and there is the Schooner in front, which you can book to sail the Sydney Harbour. It's a sight to behold, BB

What a gorgeous view of this superb structure! As a Star Trek DS9 fan, I can't help but think of Vedek Winn's hat. It looked exactly like the Sidney Opera House. (She later became Kai, and they gave her a really boring hat. Those Vedek hats were awesome!) Anyway ... this is an excellent shot. I love it!

Very nice mate. Did you notice that they have a little museum in the bridge's tower? It takes longer to walk up there than you think eh! As a bit of trivia, Paul Hogan used to be a painter on the bridge many years ago.
