Hi! My name is Ed and I am just getting back in to photography. I have been taking pictures since the late 60's but kind of stopped for almost 30 years. I took mostly point and shoot pictures for years and decided to get back into a little more hands on photography.
I just got a Nikon D5100 with a 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm Telephoto lens. I plan on getting some filter for both and doing a little experimentation with them.
I am interested in all types of photography, but lean towards landscape and trick photography. Â I also would like to try HDR in the future.Â
I would appreciate any feed back that I can get as this will help me fine tune my skills.
Unless stated, all photos are straight from the camera with no Photoshop manipulation.

Creative post work to give it a stylized, painterly look...

!!! Wow! !!! This is amazing! Excellent work, Ed. I LOVE the result. This is not what I think of when I think of HDR, but it just goes to show how a little creativity can go a long way. This is outstanding!

Oops, missed this yesterday Ed. I do like this. There are so many ways to postwork an HDR image and you've wound up with a very cool (no pun intended) result. Will look forward to more.
