Description

This was taken in the summer of 2004 off a whale watching ship as it left Bar Harbor, Maine for the ocean. We were lucky that day to see two, 35 foot long Humpback Whales. It was the first time my wife had seen a whale up close and personal. She was like a kid in a candy store.

No problems with high tide. Maine is another photographer's dream. Did you eat lobster? This is an imposing old home nicely photographed. Carpenters do well in Maine:)

Lucky homeowners! Probably a vacation home for some penthouse dwellers! ;) Beautiful capture~ You and your wife are lucky people also to have had a great whale-watching experience in such a neat place to visit!

I would be very happy with their 'guest house' to the left, LOL! Seeing a whale can be magical. I have encountered them many times in one location close to shore on the west side of Vancouver Island. They were grey whales, and I think my kids will never forget their first time as it was in that same place.
