Description

Captured 1/9/12, early morn, not far from my digs. It's been a while, so it's time again to have some fun on Renderosity. For diversity I employed various distortion filters in this tour de force, with the original on top. More of the same tomorrow. With ZOOM, you feel like you're right there. Ciao, thankx for looking in, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

What a cool corridor to start with! But for some reason those wavy filters make me think of seismic events...I've seen places in California that looked like that a time or two! Glad it's just filters and not the other. Beautiful shot and excellent variations, Harry!

An excellent capture and the variations give it a very unusual effect. Very trippy looking.

You must be a VERY early riser, Like me, in order to capure these places so empty. Interesting collage, kind of like being in a funhouse.

Earthquake Zone! This is fun. After much consideration, I like the last one best. All are cool:)

They do have a 'Gaudi' - like quality and look about them, now that you had your fun ;) (and I do like Gaudi architecture) BB

Wonderful variations. The lines are fantastic. These would be good to take sections of and do repeated mirror splicing. The original picture is great, with wonderful lines, light, and depth. I like the way #2 looks like whatever is happening, has only effected the foreground so far, and will be making it way into the distance soon. The building looks drunk in the third one. It took a step forward and realized that it was tipping over, and now is trying desperately (and unsuccessfully) to straighten out again. I've felt like this first thing in the morning, (with no alcohol involved). Arches galore in the forth one. I like how the corridor has been pushed up into the right corner. Wonderful curves and sharp edges on the last one. The right top corner would be great to copy, mirror, and match edges a few times. Excellent set of images! I like your second variations a lot too.

To begin with, the original shot is quite fine. The shadows about halfway back are a fine contrast to the light before & after. And the repetition is filled with all kinds of variation of light, shade, hue, etc. (It has real abstract qualities...) Then, your variations. Boom: Bold, big, lots of fun, earth-pounding. It's like an imaginary earthquake hit, and, to harmonize, it did a whole lotta shimmies and shakes. Terrific variations, with a very weighty feel. Right around the time you posted this, I was going back to Romanesque cathedrals (the ones from the Middle Ages), which had real weight to them. (Also, to Romanesque castles, which were even weightier.) I saw this upload & thought you took those old beasts & made them dance! Great movement & weight all in one. And #4 looks like some whacked out cathedral arcade, from some fantasy movie. The morphs are very basic curves & shifts, yet you've given them real motion, boom, and heft. A fine set of variations on a fine original theme. Fine work once again, Harry.
