Description

Neglect? What neglect? Captured 1/30/12, early morning, within trudging distance of my recidivist residence. Finally got around to posting an old wooden fence foto, several of which I have languishing, all but forgotten, in my voluminous files. I like the warping of the fence and the untended grass spewing from the bottom. Happy February, thankx for the peek, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

The neighbours fence puts this one to shame. This one should learn to stand up straight and polish its shoes instead of dragging all that grass about the place. lol.

Great capture Harry. I like the dead grass along the base and the fence doesn't look like it will standing much longer!

a bit abstract with the dried grass but like the textures of the fence and the sunshine play !! :)

Wow, I'll bet the neighbors hate that; looks like the feral youth like it, though. It has a really cool warping pattern, and I can see green through the crack, so that dead vegetation between its "teeth" must be really old. Great find and excellent capture, Harry!

Irregularitiy of the fence is interesting - but it needs a bit more care IMO, sort of a springclean and a coat of paint! BB

It definitely needs a little TLC, but left like it is, brings us great photo ops! Great find and shot Harry.

I always have to go back into your archives, I don't hope to catch up but at least I get a little more each time...This is a real favorite of mine, your pov really let the fence express itself: ie, leaning into the sidewalk and then pulling back, the grays moving into those early morning goldish hues, and all those strident textures leading to a swath of fence (far back) which seems suddenly smooth & upright. And as in all your early morning shots, the light has come out for you full force, recognizing you as 'kin' and shown its usual intense amber hue. The grasses sprouting along the fence are typical (wherever ground appears), but these are wonderfully stringy & dried and they make a very rustic 'carpet' for the fence. This is my kind of shot, filled with tons of action completely contained in a single wall of decay and such, and filled with magical light. Love this. Another fav. (I'll fix mine one of these days, but take my word for it for now.) The early morning light really graces this...
