great scene-- and without trying to sound too self-serving, the birds make the scene better

Like I said in the previous work you are a superb landscapist. I still think you should have prints made for sale. Michael "Peg-Leg" Day aka bernoullilemniscate

Beautiful work. Excellent detail in the veg, especially the snow covered plants. Nice icy pond and the lighting is very nice. Whether it's early morning or late afternoon, the feeling of the sun going down behind the hill and isolatd gullies quickly get colder is very palpable. I think the one bird is going to chase the sun.

This is such a beautiful scene, it deserves exploration. I really love the feeling of these pieces. I especially like the shadows in this one. I really wish it were larger, so I could see everything more clearly. I would have said that those green reeds in the foreground look too straight and perfect, except I was really struck by how the trees in the original photo mermaid based an image on were so perfectly straight and orderly. I think in CG we're so used to trying to add chaos that it we get a skewed impression of reality. I like the way the sky grades from white to clouds, though it seems a bit rougher than the rest of the image. I still love the partial freezing of the water, and the red berries. The birds are a perfect touch.
