My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

This is a great shot, capturing both the wild chaos of the water and the beautiful frozen sculptures in a fantastic contrast. Great shot!

A good shot of this active water dancing for our delight.

The bits and pieces of Buckingham Fountain are actually quite spectacular. The whole thing is quite nice, but the real beauty of it is in the details. Needless to say, you captured this so perfectly! I never even really noticed those stalactite-looking thingamajigs etched into it. They're quite nice and the splatter of the water is exquisitely excellent. I like this a LOT!

Aaaawwwwwwwww.....This Picture makes me more happy..Thanks.

Terrific capture. Wonderful play of water on what looks like an ancient monument.

Love the light, crop and composition. Knowing you've only shown us a small percentage of the entire fountain, I found myself wondering how much water does it take to operate a huge fountain like this? Would you believe three pumps and 137 water jets spray 14,100 gallons of water per minute here?! Trivial but true:)

Nice shot, lots of water splashing about.

LOL at Arthur! I too dislike those shots of moving water all smoothed out. This perfectly portrays the feelings of being close to it..noise, movement, excitement and refreshment. I love it.

Nice. The splashing water is splashing indeed.

Definitely an intriguing scene with so much to observe and take in..... peaceful, yet chaotic and the contrast of feelings is one of sheer wonder and beauty. It does seem to have the taint of royalty..... most interesting, and the lighting and soft effect are just stellar here!

Your shot is lovely, with a soft lushness that isn't usually associated with stone. You're GOOD at this!

Oh I remember that fountain, beautiful area, kind of a challenge to get some good shots with all the crowds, nice work. I remember being the most excited being in the area because I knew this is where they filmed some of the scenes for the show ER. I keep looking around for George Clooney but never saw him. LOL

This is wonderful, Tara! I can almost hear the sound of the water... Beautiful composition, my dear friend!

Very kinetic & well-balanced composition that conveys the feeling of gushing water very well. I've been to Chicago a couple of times, but missed this...

Very elegant capture of the water, Clive
