Description
Balthazar’s Exchange Spell
After having explored deep within the seemingly endless death-stench-filled caverns in search of the artifact that could save humanity, Balthazar had finally come into the realm of Charun in who’s palm rests the sacred Promethean Flame. His search for the artifact had come to an end, now comes the acquisition…. but how?
He was not only a supremely brave man, Balthazar, the child of a unique coupling, his mother a powerful sorceress, his father a master thief, found himself to have many talents and abilities for nearly every challenge.
It was the teachings from his father that allowed him to reach his present location. Moving silently and hiding in the shadows, as his master thief father taught him kept him from being detected by the many minions of Hell as he journeyed to the Throne Room of Charun. He had maintained the majority of his strength that he knew would be needed for the casting of spells for recovering the Promethean Flame.
Balthazar with the patience of a cat hovering over a gopher hole, waited till Charun went to sleep, the artifact still in his palm. He decided that an “exchange spell” was called for in this situation. Reciting in a low voice the incantation, He exchanged his lantern with the artifact without disturbing the sleeping demon. He then placed the artifact in his magical pouch which was able to contain anything and everything Balthazar placed within. Now he must return to the Land of the Living to reap his reward for saving Humanity from the Hellish devastation. He was a hero, but he was also a man who knew that he would receive great wealth for his efforts beyond the saving of Mankind.
