Description
While on our journey to a small village we stopped to take in the scenery along the Siem Reap River. There was a line of gnarled old trees near the river bank that were full of character. They had wonderful burls and cracks and textures and colors. The more I looked at the shapes, the more they took on the appearance of local animals.

What an amazing tree! Some of the bark looks like very old skin. Wonderful shapes, detail, and colors. Great capture of the monkey. He looks like a Rhesus macaque. Beautiful shot!
