A Yellow Rose by KatesFriend

Bethany becomes the focus of a friendly gesture of affection for Valentine's Day. Though, I think she was caught a little off guard while practicing her moves. I hope her older sister does not catch them this time. I hope everyone is enjoying their chocolates and roses today. Perhaps a little bit of wine thrown into the mixture as well. But, don't drink and drive. I have to say that, it's the law. Anyways, I have to get to work. Have a great day everybody.
Some Technical Details
As I have some space here, I thought I would include additional production details. As always, the most sensitive issue is lighting. This was accomplished with two light sources. A single infinite 'Sun' light using ray traced shadows (blur radius 0.2 and bias 0.8) set to 80% intensity and a yellowish colour (RGB: 1.000, 0.850, 0.650), shadow setting set to 0.9. Then a single diffuse IBL complement light set to 100% intensity, a yellowish colour (RGB: 1.000, 0.950, 0.920) while filtered using the dirtTreeandSky.jpg IBL probe that comes with Poser 6. Diffuse lights normally do not apply shadows on their own by default and none were applied in this case. For most textures, my AO (Ambient Occlusion) nodes are set to 4 samples, 50in max. distance and 0.1in ray bias. However, to make skin a little more radiant, I reduced the impacts of shadows by lowering the AO max. distance to 10in. and a ray bias of 0.5in. White cloth textures also used a differing AO, of 20in max. distance and 0.2in ray bias. Finally, there are the Render Settings under Poser's Render menu. I use the Advanced settings panel as it provides greater controls. Raytrace bounce: 2 Irradiance caching: 75 Pixel samples: 5 Min. shading rate: 0.30 Post filter size: 2 Post filter type: sinc HDRI optimized output is set. No gamma correction
Freebies
And as always, my thanks to the artists who supplied free elements used in this rendering: outoftouch for the Vany textures and morphs for V3. ISOP for the Gloves from Casablanca Suit for M3. DAZ for Victoria 3 and Michael 3. Alas, I have lost track of where I found the rose prop.

Bethany is quite a pretzel! She looks lithe and flexible, so I expect she can quickly reposition herself to except the rose graciously. Excellent textures and light. The shading on his jacket is beautiful, as is the more subtle shading of her top. Wonderful work on the hair and skin too. I like their expressions, with their eyes locked and rose between them. Lovely scene.
