...Glacier Peak, in the Mt. Baker National Forest, is the nearest volcano to where we live. It is about 45 miles (72 km) away as the crow flies. ...this is a photo of the western slope topped by late afternoon clouds. It was taken looking east from Arlington, Washington (the same location as my last three uploads). Really beautiful :) I could see Mt Baker from where I grew up, but it was very distant. Did ride down to see it more closely a few times though :)
