Description
This is the last of this series I will be posting. In the spirit of the creativity which flourished during the 60's, I used some Photoshop filter effects to give this a little more pop than the original photo had.
I hope those of you who have been following this short nostalgic flashback to that brief moment of time have enjoyed the trip. In addition to the continuing cultural residue of the music, art & fashion from that period, there are other continuing societal impacts as well. Though some people consider the "hippie" or "psychedelic" movement a failure because of the way the drug culture degenerated , think about the local & organic farming movements, the environmental movement & the spread of eastern influences (buddhism, acupuncture, yoga, meditation, etc.), to name just a few, that are commonplace today. We may not have changed the world completely, but many of us who came of age during that time continue to believe in those values & try to live our lives accordingly. As Elvis Costello once said, "What's So Funny 'bout Peace, Love & Understanding?"
Off on a short road trip for the next few days & won't be posting until I get back. Enjoy your weekends, everyone...

Would you believe I missed this scene during the 1960s. Why? I grew up in the 50s and thought things in the 60s were way over the top at that time. Today I can put it all happily in perspective and have really enjoyed your series. Have a good trip...on the road that is...;-)

The filter you used is just perfect for this 'nostalgic trip' - I used to wear Bell-bottoms, others called them St.Tropez pants or Flares completed with very high clogs - what an amazing time that was ... let's dream on - by looking into the past it was illuminating ;) BB
