Description

the boardwalk near the west end of the path. As you can see, it is underwater. however, since I was very close to home AND I was wearing my boots, I took the chance and rode through this. taking extreme care not to wander off the path. the water came just about 2 inches above the pedals on the down stroke. so about 2 inches of my pants got damp. Hopefull the water will recede before Friday when I have to go back to work. thank you for viewing this series. In one respect, I was hoping this would happen and I would be ready for it, as I was today. But when all is said and done, I'd just as soon see the waters stay BELOW the boardwalk. Have a great Thursday Mike thanks for all the views comments and faves

Nice sequence of photos, dear Mike! Also with us this happens often, very unpleasant if you move!

all shots show the strange beauty of a nature... the pathways are man-made, but still at the mercy of the world around them.. taking a ride through the wet, shows an amount of bravery that few would want...!

You're certainly having 'fun' with high water this year. And when will Winter cease to grip? Sooooooooooooooon...

I have enjoyed this series very much. Being born in Louisiana, scenes of water logged landscape were a fairly familiar happening. I love the look of swamps (even though I'm not as crazy about the mosquitoes), the trees standing and reflecting in the water. Beautiful capture! I like the reflected trees, the higher edges of the path continuing through the water, and the light on the rippled water between them. Excellent shot and interesting series.
