My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Almost identical to the pic in the Wikipedia description, except your light fittings are much brighter - which is not a bad thing - makes the marble walls more apparent ... I will always like that infinity depth effect of a that long carpeted hallway. BB

Great shot--looks a lot like a foto I took of a hallway very similar to this one. I love that perspective!!

Great depth, as well as capturing the charms of a bygone era. What popped into my head as I looked at this is the long tracking shot of Danny riding his big wheels down the haunted corridors of the Overlook Hotel in Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining"...

Next time in Chicago...room 809. Next time in Kansas City...the Savoy Grill to sit in Harry S. Truman's favorite booth for lunch. This hallway, identical on every floor I am sure, is very striking from this POV. Love it.
