As one of the deep cover agents of the Drovik Secret Police, she had spent years in the Western UnderDark posing as a deposed Splinter Kingdom noble, First daughter of the House of Kiliryn, Myrstin Zilvae Kiliryn. The house had been known for its ludus, supplying trained gladiators to the fighting pits in Galathmortak. It had also been known as an ally of the Shadows and keeper of many Illithid servants and advisors.

Of course, that story had been spread by the Drovikallum after the fall of House Belabra, the death of Lolth, and the rise of Matron Mother Bertryn Fey. House Kiliryn was one of many that had been expunged during the Drovik cleansing of the Western UnderDark. The link to the Shadows and Illithid was placed in the background story to cover the use of assorted psionic special agents working for the Drovikallum, the Shar’kyorlen,… the Mind Guards,… the Drovik Thought Police.

But things were different now. The Drovikallum no longer controlled the Splinter Kingdom. Lolth had been reborn. Matron Mother Bertryn Fey was dead, and her son, the demigod son of Treallar, Alexander, was missing. Delvinia Fey now ruled over the Splinter Kingdom and the priestesses of Lolth had returned to bring another reign of terror to the UnderDark. And they were heading for Elg’calkysheen, the stronghold of Matron Kalli’shen Zhegorvar, one of the most brutal, tyrannical priestesses of the entire Kingdom. Erelae had heard rumors of the fall of the Drovik at Elg’calkysheen, horrifying stories that would make the fall of the second outpost at Maerymydra pale. From all reports, Matron Zhegorvar had plunged the city into chaos. Whereas the Drovik had maintained control and kept the assorted scum out of the city for decades, Kalli’shen had thrown open the gates and welcomed back the Goblinoids, the Duergar and Derro, the assorted UnderDark Lizardmen, even Morlocks and Illithid. The city had become even worse than it had been under Matron Bellabra’s rule fifty years ago. But Zhegorvar was no fool. She wanted the assorted scum in the city for a reason. But what was it?

Erelae hadn't been given this assignment, she’d insisted on it. She knew that she traveled now with the chosen ones. The vision by the old Witch in Rangershome had told her as much.

“Find the ones who took the Holy Staff from the first Draknid. They will be the ones to guide you to the final destruction of Lolth.”

Well, she was with them now, heading into the city of the Tower of Sharek’zhegor. Could she ensure their safety and get them back out of Elg’calkysheen alive? She’d have to put her faith in The Silver Lady that she could. She’d have to put her faith in her new friends that they could play their parts, or this would have all been for nothing.
