Description

The penultimate (one of my favorite words, though I don't get to use it very often) photo in this short series. This one is painted on a wooden fence, which unfortunately means that it is subject to more wear & tear than the typical mural painted on a wall. You can see where parts have peeled away to reveal the white underpainting, particularly along the bottom. I didn't take notes during my tour, but a quick google of "mission mural fence" identified it. This mural was painted in 2003 by Martin Travers & is entitled "Naya Bihana" (a new dawn in Nepal). I'm now thinking I should go back & acknowledge the artists for the last three images I posted, though I don't know if I'll be able to identify them as easily. And those images may never be visited by human eyes again - to paraphrase Omar Khayyam, "the moving finger of Renderosity writes & having writ, moves on"...
